A London Garden

On Monday 14th March we took a trip to London for inspiration and research into VM and window displays. We visited the famous Dover Street Market, the high flying names of Bond Street and the buzz of Oxford Street, to name but a few. It was aparent there were running themes throughout all brands VM and window displays, all which played a key role in the brand personality and identity.

The key VM and window trends identified for Spring 2011 was the creation of a garden and all things Spring. Grass, wood, flowers, butterflies, birds and mushrooms were all creations in many windows, key window's being Selfridges. Following this was a weather theme incorporating rainbows, clouds and many sun features. Other trends London created for us were 'industrial'; using mechanics, scissors, tools; Minimal; use of black and white as well as block colours, neon brights and coloured wigs.
